Spork BKPK

2n1, that’s what a Spork is, a marvel of modern utensil design, the concept of dual-use designs are nothing new, but we think this is a better mousetrap. Totally comfortable as a back pack, but remove the Tfit back pack strap system, attach the ITW Waterbury® G-Hook shoulder strap, and you’ve got a messenger bag. This makes Spork a class leading dual-use urban assault vehicle. A modern commuter deluxe.

At about 1,500 cubic inches / 24.5 liters, Spork transitions from the city to the field seamlessly. Fully padded (close-cell PU foam) and designed with our digital lives in mind, Spork combines a panel loading main compartment for all of the travel essentials and a sleeve for a 15” lap top. With side loading panels for up to 13” lap-tops, tablets (iPad Pro / Microsoft Surface / Etc), wireless keyboards, accessories, and EDC items to keep you connected while you disconnect from your four-walled world.

Also, as with almost all Firesign Brand equipment, this bag is equipped with Monkey Shackles. Monkey Shackles are our own zip puller /lock system designed to keep sticky fingers, and otherwise unsavory peeps (or animals) out of your junk. Especially in tight, crowded spaces like subways, concerts, and campuses where it’s too easy to have stuff “pinched” out of your bag while making your way through the jungle. Monkey Shackles are also TSA compliant, and silent so if you’re trying to be discrete, no problem. What you probably didn’t know, however, is that Monkey Shackle zipper pullers are made of UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and are highly cut resistant and when removed and used as a link, can hold 650Lbs or 300KG’s of weight (tested to 1100Lbs ). So if you ever need to secure something, or hell, tow your boat, we have a solution in every bag.

Monkey Shackle Challenge: we want to hear about all the amazing ways your Monkey Shackle saves the day and every 6 months we are going to give one lucky winner something very special!

MOLLE webbing on the front and side panels allow for accessorizing your bags with a large array of secure, modular accessories. Also the YouLock loop at the bottom center is the perfect solution to stow your U-Lock when it’s not guarding your ride.

MOLLE

MOLLE is an acronym for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment. It is used to define the current generation of load-bearing equipment and backpacks utilized by a number of NATO armed forces, especially the British Army and the United States Army. The system's modularity is derived from the use of PALS webbing as rows of heavy-duty nylon stitched onto the bag to allow for the attachment of various MOLLE-compatible pouches and accessories. This method of attachment has become a de factoem> standard for modular tactical gear, replacing the ALICE system used in the earliest modular vest systems (which is still in use with many police forces).
The MOLLE system was introduced in 1997. However, it did not see widespread issue until after the September 11, 2001, attacks and was used by U.S. troops serving in Afghanistan and, later, Iraq.
